NYC Town Hall – Thursday May 7, 6:30pm ET | virtual event
Statewide residents can join Public Bank NYC at 6:30pm ET on Thursday, May 7th for a timely and participatory virtual town hall “From Crisis to Recovery: NY’s Fight for Public Banking.” The COVID-19 pandemic has exposed the profound injustice at the core of so many of our economic institutions. As Wall St. banks exploit the crisis and continue to exacerbate racial and economic inequality, we must advance a bold vision of a just economy that works for all. The need for a municipal public bank — mission-driven to invest in permanently affordable housing, small and worker-owned businesses, and more — has never been clearer.
